Good morning! Read on to learn about exciting in-person and online events going on tonight.
You can tell we are entering another phase of the 2026 election cycle, because forums involving Democrats competing in primaries are underway.
Tonight is a good example, and I’m honored to be a small part of it. I’ll be co-moderating (along with my friend Walter King, the Chair of the Strafford County Democrats) the Strafford County Democrats’ First Congressional District candidate forum.
It’ll take place in front of a live audience, starting at 6pm, at Barrington Middle School (51 Haley Drive), in Barrington, NH. Most of the Democratic congressional field is scheduled to be there, and we hope you will be, as well. All are welcome and encouraged to attend.
Immediately following the forum, we’ll be trying something new, and I hope you’ll be a part of it. Starting at about 8:05pm, I’ll be hosting a Substack Live broadcast, inviting candidates to take a little time for a quick “post-game” interview. We’ll briskly review how they felt the forum went, what points they feel are most important to underscore, and how they see the race evolving.
If you are a subscriber to my Substack, you’ll receive an alert when we go live, sometime shortly after 8pm. If you are not a subscriber, please become one today! You can also find it my clicking here shortly after 8pm. (If we are not live when you click, please be patient - I’ll be jumping from the moderator’s chair to the interview area as fast as possible!)
As we move into election season, I’m planning lots of new audio, video, and written programming around the state to bring key candidates, forums and debates, issues, and battleground districts to you.
I travel around the state several days a week as part of my work, and some of the most interesting and important political stories are happening away from traditional media outlets or populations centers. I know most of you can’t be in person for a lot of these opportunities, so in addition to my podcasts, YouTube videos, and Substack written work, I’m working to bring some of these interesting people and stories to you. If you have interesting forums, candidates, and stories in your community, please contact me. And I hope to see many of you in-person or on Substack Live this evening!
